Sadly, 1 in 3 children locally are living in poverty and could go without a Christmas gift this year. That’s why Web Bureau is supporting the Cash for Kids ‘Mission Christmas’ gift appeal.
Ensuring children from underprivileged families or living in difficult circumstances get a gift this Christmas, is a mission we wholeheartedly choose to accept!
At this time of year Web Bureau likes to show appreciation for our clients' support by sending them Christmas gifts. This year, we decided to buy gifts of a different kind and donate them to the Cash for Kids ‘Mission Christmas’ gift appeal so we can help ensure that as many NI children as possible get a gift this year.
Last week members of our team went shopping for a sleigh load of presents and dropped them off at our local Harry Corry store, one of the many Cash for Kids ‘Mission Christmas’ drop-off points across the province.
We were delighted to have the opportunity to be involved in ‘Mission Christmas’ this year, and know that you’ll agree it’s a very worthy cause indeed!
Learn more about Cash for Kids ‘Mission Christmas’
Every year Downtown Radio & Cool FM's Cash for Kids charity launch Mission Christmas to ensure that as many children as possible will wake up to a gift on Christmas morning. They need as much help as possible to make a difference to the children in our area on Christmas Day. You can get involved as an individual (see below for how you can donate), or there are some great festive fundraising ideas for your workplaces, schools and colleges! To download a fundraising pack visit the Cool FM website.
Everything raised locally stays local, so you can be sure that your gift and cash donations will directly benefit a local child with a minimum of 80p for every pound donated going to the children. Last year, 6334 local children woke up to presents on Christmas morning, thanks to the campaign.
Donate a Gift
You can take your new and unwrapped gifts to any of the drop off points around the region. To view a map of all drop off points just visit www.coolfm.co.uk/mission. You can also donate a virtual toy online.
They are looking for gifts suitable for children and young people aged 0 to 17 years. Presents for very young children and babies, as well as teenagers, are always hard to come by so if you can donate something for one of these age groups that’s fantastic! Unfortunately they are unable to take donations of used toys.
